We wish to share our love for South African Chenin blanc by offering a one-time only mixed case with four vintages - 2012 to 2015 - from two terroirs - Swartland and Paarl.
Each of these wines are made from old bushvine vineyards - between 30 and 65 years of age. They celebrate South Africa's variety of old Chenin blanc vineyards, a cultivar that is equally at home on a hot summer day as with a hearty wintry meal.
The grapes were all harvested early in the morning at a sugar level of between 21.5 and 22 degrees Balling. Grapes were chilled overnight and gently pressed whole bunch in a vacuum press. The settled juice was moved to barrel for fermentation with approximately 50% natural fermentation. Wine was kept in barrel for nine months with occasional lees stirring.
These old vine Chenins have a remarkable ageing potential. This is a unique opportunity to compare vintages and see for yourself why Chenin is the king of South African white cultivars!
Offer valid until 1 August 2018 only. Very limited volumes available!
